QIGONG/CHI KUNG
Qigong - Breath Work, these are possibly China's oldest form of exercise with the first written record dating back to 2800 BC. Its aim is to cultivate, improve and strengthen your Chi/Qi (energy) through breath control. This intricate union between breath and exercises is excellent for people of all ages. Though less demanding than Taijiquan, the benefit gains are in no way inferior!
Three Peaks Gigong
This unique and extremely versatile Qigong consist of 9 exercises and are based on the principle of yin and yang,These exercises are designed to give immediate effect over a short period of time, they are easy to learn as very little instructions are required. The set can be adjusted to fit in with the current situation or problems. Each exercise can also be isolated to fit in with the current lifestyle circumstances. The benefits are as follows:
- Unites mind and body to achieve higher calm, done with eyes close for meditative purposes, help to improve respiration, circulation, posture alignment, improve concentration and body structural strength,Putting circulation and respiration to into work, better exercise for the muscles, further improve strength, stamina, flexibility and joint mobility. Moving exercise also improve focus and intention.
Ba Duan Jin
8 Pieces of Brocade also know as Daoist Qigong. Another unique set, consisting of gentle massages and stretches designed to invigorate your body's 8 major energy gates (brocade). The least time consuming and again excellent for people of all ages.
Breathing
There are two types of breathes practiced in Three Peaks School:
- Deep:
- Possibly the most important aspect to learn. Mastery of this method will be rewarded with untold benefits!
- 8:5
- This method is designed to compliment deep breathing method.
